An affordable solution, this freestanding booth design allows the identity of individuals to be checked by a single official at the polling station using the viewing window. Voters requesting privacy would step into the privacy booth, and remove their face covering in front of a viewing pane in the rear of the booth. The polling station staff member, from their position behind the viewing pane, can then easily verify the identity of the voter against the provided photographic ID, while the voter is shielded from the eyeline of others by the opaque side panels.
